This story is about a quest. Simon is a French priest who hires/recruited three Italian merchants to discover a secret that lies beneath the city of Jerusalem. According to him, this quest will benefit the Christianity around the world and bring glory and fortune to the one who discovered it. As the quest progresses the things start to get serious and dangerous that even Simon didn't expected. When Egyptian sultan gets involved and a constant conspiracy between the companions result in a chaos.
The father Simon risks three lives to fulfill this quest. He lures all three of them about the artifact that will bring glory to Christendom. The story is set in 13th century and in the city of Jerusalem. As they are on this journey to their death and a constant war threat that is building behind them will keep you on the edge of the seats. This story is about betrayal, deception and questioning the cause of this quest to Simon. Will he be able to succeed in this quest or he will meet his end along with three others?
This book is a good read of nearly three hundred pages. The plot of story is well paced and has a rich language. The language of the book is such, that will keep u on the edge of your seat and u can feel the constant thrill. This book can be divided into 2 categories that is adventure and thriller. Overall the book is kind of good.
